Firefighters Dedicated 50 years of Service to the Town of Farmington
Two Thousand and Nineteen marks a tremendous honor for The Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, Chief Don Antigiovanni and Stephen Jones celebrate 50 years of dedicated service to the department and Town of Farmington. Both Chief Antigiovanni and Stephen joined the fire department in 1969 during their senior year of high school; from that moment on they have continued to provide dedicated fire services to the Town of Farmington. The Town of Farmington Fire Department is predominately a volunteer organization with devoted members that provide public safety to the community. These individuals make sacrifices in their personal lives to help others in times of need. They are pulled away from their families, eat cold dinners and make it to their full time jobs on minimal sleep due to calls for service in the middle of the night. Luckily, the Town of Farmington maintains a strong cadre of these dedicated and selfless volunteers.
Through these years both Don and Stephen have provided countless hours of emergency calls for service, training, meetings, social events, fundraising, public relations and the list goes on. To this day both are still dedicated and active members of the department and are still “all-in” after 50 years. There is no question to their dedication to the community and the organization they have given so much of their lives to.
