Registration Policies
Participants in any of the Social Service Programs are required to fill out an Intake Form and supply accurate income verification. Other information may be needed as deemed appropriate for the service rendered.

Financial & Medical Payment Assistance
Direct Aid:
- One time assistance only
- Assets must be less than $250.00 to qualify.
- Can be applied to any major expense: Rent payment, Car repair, Electric bill, Heating bill, Medical expenses
- Must be an emergency or critical situation

Emergency Food & Fuel
- Food Pantry
- Participants must have exhausted Food Stamps and all other federal aid options
- Assistance given in the form of food stuffs and vouchers
- Once a month per family
- Available until State resources are depleted
- Fuel Bank
- Participants are liable to repay aid if able
- One delivery per year per household
- Tank must be at or below ΒΌ of a tank

Holiday Giving Program
- Thanksgiving
- Eligible participants receive one food basket per family from a designated sponsor
- Fuel Bank
- Eligible participants receive one food basket per family from a designated sponsor
- Eligible participants with children under the age of 18 receive one gift basket per child from a designated sponsor
- A 'Wish List' is requested from each child however the Gift baskets are purchased at the sole discretion of the sponsor

Social Casework
- Provides short-term Professional youth and family counseling, Information and Referrals.
- Domestic, Economic and Substance Abuse issues.
- Crisis counseling and referrals
- Outreach

Support Groups
Short-term support groups offered at various times during the year and pertaining to various topics.

Family Programs
Throughout the year regular events are held to provide: support, information and education. All events are posted on our web site.

Community Education Seminars
Throughout the year regular events are held to provide: support, information and education. All events are posted on our web site.

Budget Planning
Available to all Farmington and Unionville residents.

Information & Referrals
Farmington Social Services provides information regarding different services and assistance available to residents. Referrals to these services are also provided as necessary.
