About Farmington

Five towns- Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, Bloomfield and West Hartford- jointly applied for a regional energy manager through the Regional Energy Efficiency Block Grant program. The Towns were awarded a total of $250,000 to be used over a two-year period. Overall this grant will allow the Towns an opportunity to see energy and cost savings, promote regional cooperation and ultimately reduce fossil fuel emissions.
