The Farmington Senior/Disabled Transportation Services is dedicated to provide transportation opportunities for senior and/or disabled residents within the towns of Farmington and Unionville.

DIAL-A-RIDE

General Information:
  • For persons over 60 and/or disabled
  • $50.00 fee per year
  • Medical Appointments are given priority and may be reserved two weeks in advance
  • Shopping and/or other trips, i.e. banking may be reserved 24-48 hours in advance only
  • To schedule a ride, participant must call Dial-a-Ride directly; any special needs, i.e. wheelchair, etc. should be requested at this time
  • Service may be cancelled due to inclement weather

  • Westfarms area
Additional Service:
  • Farmington and Avon provid numerous planned outings and shopping trips though a DOT grant

Greater Hartford Transit District:
  • Persons may apply for "ADA" services under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This covers persons who by reason of disability or infirmity cannot access public transportation within ¾ mile of their residence.
