The Budget process begins in December with Town departments making requests to the Town Manager for both the Capital Improvements Plan and the Operating Budget. The Town Manager is responsible for proposing a budget to the Town Council for their review. The Town Council's proposed budget is sent to the Annual Town Meeting where it is then sent to referendum, which is by charter held 10 days after the Annual Town Meeting. The Budget referendum is held in the Spring.
