Farmington is a bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community. The town was awarded bronze by the League of American Bicyclists in 2014 and again in 2024. View the 2024 Bicycle Friendly Community report card.
Farmington boasts 4.8 miles of the 82-mile Farmington Canal Heritage Trail and 2.6 miles of the 16-mile Farmington River Trail. These multi-use trails, along with other connections, create active transportation corridors that provide point-to-point access for a variety of purposes, including commutation, recreation, and healthy activity.
