Farmington Recreation’s REC Summer Camps are committed to serving your child’s needs.
Our REC Summer Camp, designed for ages 5 – 10, offers youth a traditional day camp filled with active games, special events, field trips, art & crafts, team-building exercises and more! During the summer your child will have the opportunity to swim at Sycamore Hills Pool in Avon, enjoy field trips to venues such as Farmington Mini-Golf, Spare Time Bowling, the CT Science Center, Lake Compounce and more.
Our REC Tween Camp, designed for ages 10 – 13, offers youth a traditional day camp filled with active games, special events, field trips, art & crafts, team-building exercises and more! During the summer your child will have the opportunity to swim at Sycamore Hills Pool in Avon, enjoy field trips to venues such as Matterhorn Mini-Golf, Central Rock Climbing, Nomad’s Outdoor Adventure, Dave & Buster’s, the CT Science Center, Lake Compounce and more.
For those looking for a little bit more, our REC Adventure Camp for youth ages 12 and up offers a week filled with Recreation Extreme Challenges such as Zip-Lining, Indoor Skydiving, Aerial Adventure Parks, White Water Rafting, Extreme Tree Climbing, Cliff Jumping, and more!
Extended Care
Our REC Summer and REC Tween Camps are open from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with FREE sign-in as early as 8:00 a.m. and Extended Care from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. for a nominal additional charge.
Staff
Our staff is comprised of teachers, college students, and high school students. All full-time/seasonal staff is First Aid and CPR Certified.
Campers must wear sneakers. Unless otherwise noted all campers must bring a snack, lunch, water, etc. (please note that refrigeration is not available.). Our normal schedule is to go swimming at Sycamore Hills Pool on Wednesdays (please refer to camp schedule provided on the first day of camp.).
