Absentee Voting
Absentee Ballots are available in the Town Clerk’s office starting on Friday, October 3rd for the November 4, 2025 Election. Voters must complete an absentee ballot application before receiving a ballot.
Under Connecticut law, in order to vote by absentee ballot, a voter must be an active, registered voter and have filled out an absentee ballot application.
You may receive an absentee ballot in Connecticut if, in your judgement, you are unable to appear at your polling place on Election Day (November 4) due to:
- Being absent from Town on Election Day
- Sickness or physical disability (not necessarily your own)
- Active service in the Military
- Religious tenants that forbid secular activity on Election Day
- Duties as an elected official at a polling place other than your own during all voting hours
Absentee ballot applications are available:
- For download online (myvote.ct.gov/absentee)
- Via the Secretary of the State online portal (https://oabr-sots.ct.gov/OABR/absenteeBallotReqPortalHome.do)
- In-person at the office of the Town Clerk (lower level of Town Hall)
