Charge of the Committee
To establish a Town Council Ad Hoc Sidewalk Committee to work with Town Staff to review the existing Sidewalk Ordinance and report community survey results and recommended ordinance changes to the Town Council. 

 The Ad Hoc Committee will be charged with the following:

1. Review existing Sidewalk Ordinance and study sidewalk ordinances in other Towns.
2. Determine what percentage of the Town currently has sidewalks.
3. Educate the community on the current ordinance and process.
4. Hold public meetings, create questions, and hire a consultant to survey the community to gauge interest in new sidewalks, a town funded sidewalk program, and the community’s willingness to pay.
5. Develop and include preliminary cost estimates for various options of a town-funded sidewalk program.
6. Work with Town Plan & Zoning Commission and Town Departments as needed.
7. Report back to the full Town Council on the results of the survey and community input.
