Charge of the Committee

That the Town of Farmington and Town of Avon Establish a Joint Subcommittee for the America 250 Celebration and to appoint the following voting members,

 ____________, Town Council Liaison

 ____________, Farmington Resident

 ____________, Unionville Resident

 And, to charge the America 250 Celebration Subcommittee with the following responsibilities:

• Marketing and Promotion: To review, approve, and oversee a coordinated marketing and communications campaign designed to raise public awareness, foster community pride, and encourage participation in the America 250 celebration.

• Volunteer Recruitment: To develop and implement strategies for recruitment, organization, and coordination of volunteers to support events and related programming.

• Community and Non-Profit Engagement: To identify, recruit, and collaborate with local non-profit organizations, civic groups, and historical associations to enhance programming and expand community involvement.

• Staff Collaboration and Support: To work in partnership with Town staff from both communities to provide volunteer, advisory, and logistical support necessary for the successful planning and execution of America 250 activities.

• Recommendations to Town Councils: To make recommendations to the respective Town Councils regarding program development, budgetary considerations, and partnership opportunities in support of the America 250 celebration.
