28th Annual Town Wide Clean-Up

Join the Clean Team

Bottles, food wrappers, cans, cigarette butts – who wants those lying around?  Join the Town Wide Clean-Up effort!

When: Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 8 am to 1 pm

Where:  Town Wide! Gloves, trash bags, and grabbers are available for pick up at the four collection locations: 

Farmington Firehouse - 76 Main Street, Farmington
Irving A Robbins Middle School - 20 Wolf Pit Road, Farmington
Tunxis Hose Firehouse - 11 School Street, Unionville
Tunxis Mead Athletic Fields - 80 Tunxis Mead Road, Farmington

Cans and bottles can be collected in separate bags, and The Lions Club will collect them at each location. Your collected trash will be weighed and loaded into the on-site truck. And you could win the Heaviest Haul Competition!

Local businesses, including Fork & Fire, Naples Pizza, Farmington Ice Cream and Minigolf, and Wood-n-Tap, have donated prizes for the individual and/or team collecting the most trash by weight. 
Feel free to get a head start:   Trash collected around town from April 1st – 25th counts, just drop off any collected trash at any of our four collection location on April 25th. 

Please note any single item weighing more than 25 lbs. will be counted as 25 lbs. Trash will be weighed only at our official locations.
